- Apply basic recitation rules while reading
- Correct common reading mistakes before they become habits
- Recognize stop signs and pause in the right places
- Learn daily Masnoon Duas alongside Quran reading
- Work steadily toward completing a full reading of the Quran
Course overview
Nazra means reading the Quran by looking at the text. Once a student knows the letters and sounds from Qaida, Nazra is where they start reading the Quran itself, page by page, from the Mushaf.
The focus is fluency and accuracy. The teacher listens closely, corrects mistakes as they happen and introduces basic recitation rules in context, so good habits form from the start. Daily Masnoon Duas continue alongside the reading, adapted to the student's age.
What a typical class looks like
Weekday classes last 30 minutes, or 1 hour on a Saturday-and-Sunday-only schedule. A typical lesson includes:
- Reading back the previous portion to check it has settled
- Reading a new portion, with the teacher correcting pronunciation and flow
- A short explanation of any rule that came up, such as stopping signs or lengthening
- A dua to learn or revise, especially for younger students
Lessons take place one-to-one on Zoom or Microsoft Teams, so the student gets the teacher's full attention for the whole class.
How progress is tracked
The teacher keeps a simple record of where each student is in the Quran and which mistakes keep coming back. Parents receive regular updates on WhatsApp about the pages covered and what to practice at home. Adult students get this feedback directly. When reading becomes smooth and confident, the teacher may suggest Tajweed or Hifz as a next step.
Is this course right for you?
Nazra is a good fit if:
- The student has finished Qaida, or can read Arabic letters and join them
- They read the Quran slowly or with frequent mistakes and want to improve
- They want to complete a full reading of the Quran with a teacher's guidance
If the student is still unsure of some letters, the teacher may recommend a short Qaida review first. A 3 Days Free Trial is the easiest way to find the right starting point.
